Runnin' Dogs win tri meet vs Van Wert and Lima Central Catholic.

Thursday afternoon the Celina Track Team hosted Van Wert and Lima Central Catholic in tri meet action. The beautiful weather enabled the athletes a chance perfrom well, and establish a number of season and career best results. Fifty-eight season best efforts covered the scoresheet. The Bulldogs WON 25 of 34 events (girls 14 of 17, the guys (11 of 17)on their way to a double win. The Men outscored the opponents 103 to VW's 43 and LCC's 29. The Ladies were just as successful, scoring 105 to VW's 48 and LCC's 22. Six Ladies picked up individual event wins, led by the quadruple win day of Julie Snyder (LJ, 100, 300 H, 200). Eryn Langenkamp (HJ, 100 H) and Melissa Roth (1600, 3200) were double winners, with Cayla Hellwarth (PV), Kelsey Waterman (400), and LaRae Dorsten (800) also getting a first. The Lady Dogs claimed the top spot in the 3200, 800, and 1600 relays. The only running event the Ladies did not win was the 400 relay (which they did not enter). Kelby Rosengarten once again led the Men as he collected wins in the LJ, 110 H, and 300 H. Although Blake Moran did not win an event he had a good day placing second three times, all to Kelby. Other winners for the Boys were Tyler Helentjaris (HJ), Brad Smith (400), Isaac Niekamp (1600), Spencer Foulkes (800), Andrew Goodwin (3200), and Todd Hertel (PV). CHS also won the 3200 and 1600 relays. Cassie Mosier, Brittany Kittle, and Caleb Fickert are a few of the many Bulldog Tracksters who had excellent showings.

Next up for the Runnin' Dogs...the Patrick Henry Inv on Saturday, April 19. Starting time is 9:00 Am for the field events and 9:45 AM for the running prelims.
