Runnin' Dogs open season with sweep of St Henry.

Thuesday afternoon the Celina Runnin' Dogs opened their 2008 campaign with a sweep of Mercer County rival St Henry.  The Women won 16 of 17 events on their way to a 112-24 victory.  The Men took first in 11 of 17 events, outscoring the host Redskins 74-63.  Leading the way for CHS was a quartet of seniors.  Julie Snyder  won all four of her individual events (HJ, LJ, 100 IH, 400), Kelby Rosengarten  took three individual firsts (LJ, 110 HH, 300 IH) and a relay first, with Eryn Langenkamp  picking up three individual firsts (PV, 300 LH, 200) and a second (to Snyder in the 110 IH).  Melissa Roth  won two distance races (1600, 3200) plus a relay.  Jacob Archer and LeAnn Ward were double winners in their specialties (the shot put and discus).  Other individual champions were; Spencer Foulkes (400), Nate Gunter (800), Luke Bonvillian (PV), Andrew Goodwin (3200), LaRae Dorsten (800).
