Bulldog Tracksters defeat Kenton!

Thursday afternoon the Celina Runnin' Dogs traveled to Kenton for a dual meet with the Wildcats.  On a cloudy, 50 degree day the Lady Dogs outscored Kenton 94-40 while the Men took care of their opponents 98-39.  CHS won 26 of the 34 contested events.  Leading the way, once again, were seniors Julie Snyder (HJ, 100, 300 IH, 200), Eryn Langenkamp (PV, LJ, 100 IH, 400), and Kelby Rosengarten (LJ, 110 HH, 300 IH, 200).  All three picked up 4 individual event wins.  Junior Aaron Snyder  had a 'breakthrough' meet, winning two events in personal best efforts (shot put and discus) as well as competing in the high jump and long jump with success.  Senior Melissa Roth ran a career best in winning the 3200-meter run.  Other winners for the Bulldogs were all four Women's relays, the 1600 and 3200 Men's relays, Todd Hertel (PV), Andrew Goodwin (3200), Isaac Niekamp (1600), Spencer Foulkes (800), and Cody Garwood (400).  Nate Gunter (1600, 800) and Peter Starnes (3200) had nice days in the distance events, both with career best efforts in finishing second.

Saturday the Dogs return to Kenton for the 'Kenton Relays'...show time is 9:00 AM.
